Simon Cowell will reportedly sack bodyguard after break in
He was apparently on the toilet at the time...
It's rumoured that while a thief broke into Simon Cowell's house, his bodyguard was on the toilet and could be facing the sack because of it.
The X Factor boss said he was concerned for his son's safety after someone entered his London mansion in the early hours of Friday morning.
A security guard, who doesn't work for Simon, apparently chased the burglar and recovered £500,000 worth of jewellery and Simon's passport.
M'Bathonha Mendes told the Sunday Mirror: "The adrenaline just kicked in. He was trying to get something out of the bag and I ran up to him, put my hand on his shoulder and said, 'Wait a second'.
"He jumped and then dropped the bag and ran."
He apparently added that when he met Simon's security guard, he was 'shocked' at the news of the burglary, having been on the toilet at the time.
When Simon was asked about his own security staff he implied that one of them wouldn't be staying on the team.
His tweet also suggested that he needs to step up his security.
Simon's currently a judge on The X Factor.
