Simon Cowell revealed that getting Adele to perform on The X Factor final is the best news he's had all year.
He told a national newspaper "When we got the news and I had to keep quiet last weekend, it was like, this is the best news I've had all year".
He added "She will absolutely cap off what I hope will be an amazing weekend and actually it's really the best of British. It's Adele, Coldplay, One Direction, Leona Lewis. It's the biggest artists in the world. It's going to be sensational."
He'd given a bit of a hint earlier when he suggested that the show would be 'very special' this week,
A winner is expected to be announced on Sunday night's final.
