Simon Cowell reportedly wants to clone his beloved pet dogs Squiddly and Diddly.

The music mogul, estimated to be worth over £300million, is said to be willing to shell out £60,000 on each of his Yorkshire Terriers with South Korean cloning company Sooam Biotech.

A ‘source’ told the Daily Mirror: "Money is not an issue. Simon is determined to make it happen.

"Clearly, Simon wants to make sure that any cloning procedure is above board and safe for the dog. That's very much his priority."

They continued: "He has briefed aides and they are looking to see whether Sooam is a viable option.

"Sooam seems to be the only plausible company at the moment and Simon is expecting a report back soon from his aides confirming whether it's a goer.”

Winnie the dachshund was the first British dog to be cloned last year after her owners ordered a dog they aptly called Mini-Winnie from South Korea.

Simon regularly posts images of Squiddly and Diddly on social media and last year took them along to the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

Last September he donated £25,000 to the Manchester Dogs’ Home after it was hit by a devastating blaze.
