Shay Mitchell's emotional statement

Shay continued, 'Having so many people follow me on Instagram and read my posts is both incredibly humbling and hugely uplifting. The support and affection that so many of you show me lifts me up during even my darkest days, one of which happened last year after I miscarried and lost the child of my hopes and dreams.'

Following the actress' post, fans have been taking to social media to show their support. One fan tweeted, 'Shay Mitchell had a miscarriage in 2018 and none of us knew 😔this just proves that none us know what’s truly going on in other peoples lives and we should be there for one another and show love no matter what. Another fan commented, 'I just saw your story about your miscarriage and I have to say, it came as a shock to me. I mean, there were a few months after September 2018 that I noticed something was not how it used to be. I thought it was me getting over the little crush I’ve had on you for years now.'
