Sean Penn and Charlize Theron reportedly split up
Their relationship ends after a year-and-a-half
Hollywood couple Sean Penn and Charlize Theron have reportedly split up after a year-and-a-half together.
American publication US Weekly is quoting various sources who claim that the A-lister couple’s relationship has reached the end.
54-year-old Sean and Charlize, were last photographed in public together at the Mad Max premiere at the Cannes Film Festival just last month.
However, according to a source quoted by US weekly, Charlize “was the one to break things off with the fellow Oscar winner” shortly after the event.
Sean and Charlize has known each other for decades until they decided to take their relationship to the next level in early 2014.
Speaking to Esquire Magazine in March, Sean, who was previously married to Madonna and Robin Wright, said he was open to marrying again.
"You say I've been married twice before, but I’ve been married under circumstances where I was less informed than I am today," Penn explained.
"So I wouldn’t even consider it a third marriage, I’d consider it a first marriage on its own terms if I got married again. I mean, I like the tradition. A friend of mine wrote a line, 'Without tradition, new things die.' And I don’t want new things to die."
Sean and Charlize are yet to comment on the alleged split.
