RIP Instagram? People aren't happy with the app's upcoming update
Instagram is about to change the way your feed works.
Instagram is about to change the way people see pictures and people aren’t happy about it.
Instead of showing all the celebrity and food pictures in chronological order, the app is going to change so an algorithm will show you pictures in the order it thinks you want to see them.
This is similar to how Facebook currently works, often showing the most popular posts.
A spokesperson for the company said in a statement:
'As Instagram has grown, it’s become harder to keep up with all the photos and videos people share. This means you often don’t see the posts you might care about the most.'
So when’s it going to change?
Instagram have said ‘We’re going to take time to get this right and listen to your feedback along the way. You’ll see this new experience in the coming months.’
