13 years after the hit TV show ended, Peter Kay has revived Phoenix Nights for two very special live shows in 2015.

The shows at Manchester Arena on Saturday 31st January and Sunday 1st February will the full original cast from the award winning comedy with all proceeds going directly to Comic Relief.

Peter Kay said: “Comic Relief has always been close to my heart and I always try to think of something. I could think of no better way to raise money and have fun than getting everybody back together.

"I rang all the cast and they overwhelmed me with their generosity. Everybody's doing it for free, everybody's involved.

"We're all looking forward to doing it. It's been lovely getting together with everybody and working out ideas and what we're going to do."

Kay will revive his role as stubborn club impresario Brian Potter and doorman Max, Paddy McGuiness returns as fellow doorman Paddy and Dave Spikey is back as compere Jerry St Clair.

Bolton born Peter Kay is no stranger to the Manchester Arena having worked there as a steward in his teens and later playing an astonishing 40-night sold-out residency at the venue – a run that broke a Guinness Record.
