EastEnders star Patsy Palmer has recently opened up about her return to the show, reprising her role as the iconic Bianca Jackson; but that's not all she dished the dirt on, as she confessed on This Morning that her real name is in fact Julie.
Discussing her recent travels to the U.S., Patsy (or should we say, Julie) revealed that she doesn't get recognised when in LA, where she now resides with her family. Elaborating on this, she admitted, "No, they don’t know me and I have another name. My name is Julie really and so I thought ‘I’m going to get back to calling myself by my real name'."
Continuing, the 47-year-old said, "I actually get so confused myself that sometimes I say Patsy and sometimes I say Julie. So now in Malibu they call me Patsy Julie… Julie Merkell is my married name but it was Julie Ann Harris.
"I’ve got so many names and then Bianca... I’m on a mission to find out who I really am! And then sometimes I’m ginger and then sometimes a mum, and then a wife!"
This was the star's first TV interview since returning to London to reprise her legendary role. Joking about her various names and identities, she laughed, "I’m everything. Who am I? Tell me please Phil, I’ve come back - I must go on Who Do You Think You Are?"
In a heartwarming response, Phillip Schofield said, "You’ll always be Bianca to us."
