Paolo Nutini Slams Miley Cyrus & Defends One Direction
He compares 1D's 'drugs' scandal to Miley's onstage antics
Paolo Nutini has defended One Direction following their recent ‘marijuana’ scandal saying Miley Cyrus’s infamous on stage antics are much worse.
Last month footage emerged of 1D’s Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson smoking a suspicious substance in the back of a car prompting a huge backlash in the press.
Speaking to Q Magazine, an impassioned Paolo blasted: “I saw a photo of Miley Cyrus with her leotard pulled up between the lips of her vagina.
“Is that all right? Is that f***ing cool? And One Direction can’t have a joint? They’re the bad role models? Come on!”
Paolo also jumped to defend marijuana, adding: “Can the world please get to grips with marijuana? How long can this go on? Don’t get me wrong – you give it to the wrong person, marijuana can spawn all kinds of things – but no more so than alcohol.”
Asked by Q what kind of conduct he expects from musicians, Paolo added: “The best thing you can do is pay your taxes.”
