The cast and crew from last year's biggest films congregated at Hollywood's Dolby Theatre for the 86th Academy Awards.

We spoke to Empire Magazine's Online Editor Helen O'Hara to find out what she thought about the winners and the losers.

One of the newcomers, Lupita Nyong'o won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a young slave, Patsey in Steve McQueen's '12 Years a Slave'. Helen O'Hara explains why she is one to watch.

Helen wasn't surprised that once again Leonardo DiCaprio went away empty-handed as Matthew McConaughey won the award for his Leading Role in the true story Dallas Buyers Club.
