Now One Direction have given a message of goodbye to their army of fans before going on a well-deserved hiatus.
Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam were given a send-off to remember by the show which catapulted them to stardom, with friend and mentor Simon Cowell leading the tributes.
Twitter went into meltdown after the boy’s performance of their ‘Made In The A.M’ track ‘History’, with their devoted fans showing their disappointment at the planned break by getting #ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection trending worldwide.
With famous names including Danny Devito, Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards and Wayne Rooney of all people showing their support it looks like the whole world are distraught!
