Niall Horan lands his first magazine cover without One Direction
It's not what you might expect!
One Direction heartthrob Niall Horan has appeared on his first magazine cover without his band mates.
It’s no surprise to fans that Niall is a massive golf fan and now it seems all his dreams may have come true as he poses on the front of Today’s Golfer alongside legendary golf star Justin Rose.
The Irish singer and Rose recently hosted the Horan and Rose Charity Gala for Cancer Research UK kids and teens and now the unlikely pair have teamed up again.
Speaking to Today's Golfer magazine about his love of the game, Niall said “When I was on the road with One Direction it allowed me to escape the hotel for a few hours and relax. Harry and I used to play a fair bit and travelling so much has allowed me to play some amazing courses all over the world. It's a great way to escape from everything for a few hours."
The 22-year-old also admitted he is ‘obsessed’ with golf and by the sounds of it his knowledge of the sport is up to scratch. He said “I watch an awful lot of golf on the TV. I love all the stats and when they break down swings. I can tell you who's top in greens in regulation, driving distance and stuff like that."
Since One Direction announced their yearlong hiatus Niall has been enjoying his time off from the band but it’s being reportedly he has been busy in the recording studio.
Former One Direction songwriter, Wayne Hector, announced Niall is working on material. He said “We are writing together but he wants to do it for himself and no other people at the moment. We have no idea where we’ll end up.”
