National Television Awards – full winners list
Eastenders, Ant & Dec and David Tennant are among the big triumphs
Some of the biggest stars on television hit The O2 Arena in London last night for the 20th National Television Awards.
Voted for entirely by the Great British public, Eastenders dominated the night with three huge wins – Serial Drama, Newcomer for Maddy Hill and Serial Drama Performance for Danny Dyer.
Ant & Dec also beat host Dermot O’Leary, Brad Walsh and Keith Lemon to the best Entertainment Presenter honour, the 14th time in a row the Newcastle duo have triumphed.
The night also took a poignant turn when Anne Kirkbride’s on screen husband William Roache paid tribute to the Coronation Street legend to a rapturous applause from the arena.
Kim Kardashian’s mum Kris Jenner was also present at the ceremony to hand out the brand new Multichannel award, which went to ITV2’s Celebrity Juice.
