It’s the news you’ve been all waiting for. Katie Price has confirmed that she’s back in the recording studio and is ready to resurrect her solo music career. Hurrah!

The 37-year-old glamour model made the revelation this morning in response to claims by her former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Kavana that they’re dueting.

Disparaging of Katie’s talents, Kavana – best known for his 1997 track ‘I Can Make You Feel Good’ – said: "We've decided to do a duet. I mean, God bless her, she can't really sing, can she? But I've said to her that I'll get her in the studio and make it sound good.

"It's going to be a Nineties dance track with a Nineties vibe. Trust me, it's going to be a great song. We're writing it together. She loves to sing."

Now, setting the record straight, Katie has denied she is singing with Kav but admitted they filmed a video together.

Using the platform to announce her musical comeback, Katie told her Instagram followers: “I did a favour 4 @kavana_official by appearing in his music video as a favour when he asked but NEVER discussed doing duet with him and this is something that will NEVER happen as in fact I'm in studio recording my own tracks solo.

“This is why I hate doing favours as it always ends up me being used and getting hurt #nevergiveup #hardtotrustanyone”

Although it was savaged by critics, Katie’s 2006 album with her then husband Peter Andre, ‘A Whole New World’, hit number 20 and went on to sell a respectable 150,000 copies in the UK.

Hilariously, the album has received hundreds of spoof reviews on Amazon hailing it as a musical masterpiece.

One ‘reviewer’ wrote: “The impact this record will have on our world is comparable only to penicillin. Katie has the voice of a young Marvin Gaye, whilst Peter sounds like the smell of a newborn baby.

“If you are yet to listen to this record, you may as well be dead.”

Katie also tried to represent Great Britain at Eurovision 2005 with her song 'Not Just Anybody' but lost out in the heats to Javine Hylton.
