MOBO Awards 2014 Nominations Revealed!
Sam Smith and little known act Krept & Konan lead the charge
The nominations for the 2014 MOBO Awards have been revealed!
Sam Smith leads the nominations charge with four prestigious nods alongside little known British hip-hop act Krept & Konan.
Tinie Tempah was close behind with three nominations, while the likes of Rita Ora, Ella Eyre, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Jessie J, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Katy B and Rudimental are also in the running for awards.
The nominations were unveiled at a special ceremony at Ronnie Scott’s in Soho today, accompanied by a performance by singer Ella Eyre.
The Wire and Luther actor Idris Elba also flew in from New York to pick up the very first Inspiration Award recognising his varied career and also his charity work.

Following a five year hiatus away from London, the MOBO Awards will return to the capital at Wembley Arena on Wednesday 22nd October.
