The showbiz world was rocked by rumours yesterday that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth had split. The singer and actor, who starred in The Last Song together in 2010, had reportedly decided to call off their engagement, according to an insider close to the couple.

Miley also deleted everything from her Instagram profile, causing many to believe that this was a confirmation of the split.

However, Miley and Liam have now hit back at the rumours, and shared a video of themselves together on Liam's Instagram Story. In the short clip, Liam is seen driving as Miley films them dancing to the music, before Liam pretends that they're about to crash and Miley pretends to become instantly furious - but it's all in good fun!

The rumours began yesterday, after OK! Australia reported that an insider had told them 28-year-old Liam wants to have children, but 25-year-old Miley isn't ready yet, saying, "He wants kids and doesn't want to keep putting it off but it's not quite the timeline Miley had in mind. He is left heartbroken.

"Miley put off plans for the wedding and Liam was growing tired of it... They haven't been getting along in recent months."

They added that Miley "didn't really want to get married," and that "everyone else" has seen the split coming for a while apart from Liam. Apparently, his family had been "begging him to see the light" but he "had faith in Miley" and now "feels like an idiot."

Miley also revealed in an interview last year that marriage and babies weren't on her immediate radar, revealing that she "hopes to live a little bit more" before settling down, and that she has "too much living to do."

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have been on-off since they met on the set of The Last Song in 2010, where they played lovers. In real life, they were teenage sweethearts for two years, becoming engaged in 2012, but called off their engagement in 2013. After rekindling their romance in 2016, Miley announced that the engagement was back on in October 2016.
