Love Island 2017 star Tyla Carr has announced she's pregnant with her first child! Tyla, who appeared on the popular dating show last year and coupled up with Jonny Mitchell, was rumoured to have been pregnant a few weeks ago, but the reality star has now confirmed the news herself.

The former Love Island star opened up about the news in an interview with OK! magazine - revealing that she found out she was expecting in a VERY strange way!

Tyla had bought the pregnancy test and stopped for lunch at Nando's with her boyfriend Ross - but couldn't wait until she got home, so took the test in the toilets at the restaurant, saying, "We stopped for lunch after I bought the test and I couldn’t wait until I got home.

"When I saw it was positive, I ran back to tell Ross – it felt like the longest journey of my life! I was over the moon but part of me was worried too. We haven’t been together very long and we’d only just moved in together. I started to panic that we had rushed."

Check out which Love Island couples are still together...

Series One: Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison

The only surviving couple from Love Island series one is Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison.

After finding love on the show, Cally and Luis announced they were expecting their first child together and later welcomed their daughter Vienna Morrison-Beech.

She also took to Instagram to share the news, writing, 'So the news is out and I'm so happy I can just scream it from the roof tops! I'm loving being pregnant and the life that comes with it.

"I loved the shoot and it just got me even more excited to all that's about to come. I've wanted my own little family for years, since I can remember to be honest. So this day is finally here with the man of my dreams and I've said it before but I couldn't be happier.

"We have been overwhelmed with lovely messages and support, I am an emotional wreck but I have to thank you all for that, I'm am trying to reply to them all as quickly as I can. The life I am about to start as a mum is scary but my god am I excited for it. It can't come any sooner."

Despite previously keeping the identity of her boyfriend secret, Tyla opened up to the publication about Ross, revealing he's a property developer that she's been friends with for eight years who much prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

She said, "He’s really happy for me to do my own thing, but he’s very private and has no interest in being in the spotlight. It’s really refreshing to be with someone who has no interest in the industry. He has a great job running a logistics company and is a property developer too."

Tyla isn't the only Love Island star to announce her pregnancy this year. Love Island 2016 contestant Malin Andersson announced she was expecting her first child last month.

Retweeting a number of stories about her pregnancy, Malin thanked fans that wished her well.

And of course a number of other past Love Island stars have welcomed babies. After winning the show in 2016 alongside Nathan Massey, Cara de la Hoyde went on to give birth to the couple's first child in December 2017.

Both Cara and Nathan often post cute photos of their son Freddie to their social media pages and he's even made a number of appearances on TOWIE.

Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison from 2015's series also welcomed a baby into the world after meeting on the show. The pair are proud parents to a daughter called Vienna Morrison-Beech.

Congratulations to Tyla on her pregnancy news! 👶
