Megan Barton-Hanson has revealed it’s not all rainbows and sunshine with boyfriend Wes Nelson, as life outside the Love Island villa is proving difficult for the couples’ relationship. Despite nabbing fourth place on this year’s Love Island, the 24-year-old says that life outside the show comes with even more pressure than having cameras on them 24/7.

According to Closer Online, Megan said, "When you are in the villa, there’s no stress. You are just there with the person you are seeing and it’s amazing."

"When you are out you are pulled in this direction and doing PAs public appearances, you are doing this, you are doing that and it’s hard," she admitted.

Of the announcement that fellow co-stars Sam Bird and Georgia Steel had split, Megan said she wasn’t surprised. “I feel bad for them. It’s not a nice thing to go through especially when everyone is watching.”

Despite the pressure of clashing work commitments and life in the public eye, Megan insists that her relationship is only getting stronger, with the couple set to move into their first proper home together in Camden later this week, adding that she loves everything about living with Wes - except the mess he makes.

After Georgia and Sam's split, Megan and Wes are one of only four couples from this year’s series still together - winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, Kazimir Crossley and Josh Denzel, and Zara McDermott and Adam Collard.
