Jessica Chastain: "I Was Bullied and Called Ugly Every Day at School"
She says "the most cruel things" happened
Hollywood star Jessica Chastain has revealed she was bullied daily at school and regularly received nasty taunts.
The 37-year-old actress who appears in one of this year’s most talked about films, Christopher Nolan’s ‘Interstellar’, revealed to US Glamour that her school days were an ordeal.
"I was a late bloomer. I had very, very short red hair. Very freckly,” she told the American publication.
“Thank God there wasn't the Internet, because I was told every day at school that I was ugly. And that no-one wanted to be my friend. The most cruel things.”

Fortunately, Jessica says she escapes the torments when she took up acting in her teens.
“My life changed when I joined drama,” she explained. “You know, like Glee: you don't fit in, and then you find a group of people that understands you. You have to find your people."
