TV personality Jeff Brazier has bravely opened up about the heartbreaking words his two sons said to him after the sad passing of their mum Jade Goody in 2009.

Former Big Brother star Jade passed away at the age of 27 after losing her battle with ovarian cancer, leaving her two sons Bobby and Freddie behind.

Jeff, who has looked after the two boys since her death, has now revealed the toughest moments since her death and admitted they once said to him, "I wish it was you that was dead and not mum", whilst they struggled to deal with their grief.

The dad-of-two has insisted he didn't take the words to heart and told a national newspaper he believes 'grief generates the worst possible feelings'.

He said ,"Grief generates the worst possible feelings, it really clouds your judgement.

“The words they come out with they’re not always in control of and they’re just saying them because what they’re actually trying to say is ‘Dad, help me.'"

Jeff has appeared on a number of TV shows such as This Morning and Loose Women in the past couple of years to help others in the same situation as himself.

He's also written a book called The Grief Survival Guide which gives people a practical guide to dealing with grief and everything else that comes along with it.

The two boys are now 13 (Bobby) and 12 (Freddie) and Jeff often shares snaps of them to his social media accounts.

Jeff's book The Grief Survival Guide is out now.
