James Bond: New video introduces Bond women of Spectre

As excitement continues to build ahead of the release of the 24th James Bond movie, Spectre, this autumn a brand new behind-the-scenes teaser has been released.

Featuring actresses Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, the clip focuses on the Bond Women of Spectre with director Sam Mendes giving an insight into the characters.

“In SPECTRE, the two women who Bond hooks up with, both have great mystery, they both have depths and for that you need fantastic actresses,” Sam says.

Film legend Monica Bellucci says of her character the infamous criminal Lucia Sciarra, “She’s an Italian widow with secrets.

“When the attraction between (Sciarra and Bond) takes place and she realises her feminine power over him, then she trusts him to save her.”

Multi award-winning Léa Seydoux plays the daughter of Bond’s old nemesis Mr White, Madeleine Swann, and says: “She’s a doctor, she’s intelligent and very sensitive…”

According to Sony Pictures, the official plot is as follows: "A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organization.

“While M (Ralph Fiennes) battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.”

Spectre sees Daniel Craig continue as 007 and Christoph Waltz play his arch nemesis Franz Oberhauser. It also stars Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw as Q, Andrew Scott as Denbigh and Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx.

Spectre is set for release in the UK on October 26, 2015, and in the US on November 6, 2015.
