Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield may be two of the most popular hosts on TV but it's no secret the pair have a mischievous side.

From turning up to work hungover to giggling at innuendos live on the show, the pair have gained a following for their loveable personalities but now they have made a big confession.

In a recent episode of This Morning, Holly and Phillip confessed to breaking a big rule during their recent visit to Buckingham Palace.

They were invited to attend the event which marked the 40th anniversary of the Prince's Trust.

Phillip explained to viewers saying "Prince Charles through a little soirée to celebrate the Trust's 40th anniversary". To which Holly added "It was incredible!"

The 54-year-old then said "If you go to a Buckingham Palace garden party, you are not allowed to take photographs". Of course the show's producers then showed a picture of Phillip with his wife and daughter in the grounds of the palace.

At first Holly acted all innocent, sarcastically saying “So how did that happen?”

Before a snap of herself and her husband, Dan Baldwin, appeared on the screen.

Holly giggled as she said "I can't believe we are fessing up to this, we're never going to be invited back!"

After the show aired, Phillip took to Twitter to apologise to the Trust for his rule break.

Luckily for him, it seems they were in a good mood, replying with 'We’ll let you off... seeing as it's you Phillip! Thanks for being an important part of #teampt'

It seems they really can get away with anything!

This Morning continues to air weekdays from 10.30am.
