After teasing her appearance earlier this week, This Morning fans were in for a treat on today's show (Wednesday 24th November) as popular host Holly Willoughby introduced her adorable new puppy Bailey to the world!

Holly, who was forced to miss last week's shows due to a sickness bug, brought her Golden Retriever pup into the studio to meet her co-host Phillip Schofield, and viewers at home.

Although Bailey looked a little sleepy from her travels into work (we know the feeling), Holly told viewers: "We have a very special visitor here in the studio today. I'm delighted to introduce you to the newest member of my family, this is Bailey, who has sort of fallen asleep."

It seems Bailey wasn't too tired that she couldn't show off her new tricks though!

The hearts of viewers then melted even more later in the show, when Holly was filmed singing along to James Blunt's live performance of 'You're Beautiful', with Bailey snuggling into her arms on the sofa. 😍

Holly first announced she'd bought a new puppy during the November edition of her lifestyle website WYLDE MOON.

She wrote: 'Please meet the newest member of Holly’s family: Bailey, the Golden Retriever.

'Bailey came into our life this month and has changed everything. My daughter has been campaigning for us to get a dog since she was able to talk, and we have been waiting for the right time for a dog to fit into our family life. Now, is that time. This little ball of scrumptious energy bounded into our world and immediately made us question why on earth we have waited so long. She’s been brilliant for getting us all out of the house, going on long walks and playing in the garden.

'During lockdown, the kids gravitated to being on screens more than normal, but Bailey has come in and pushed a giant paw-shaped, reset button for all us…and of course we are completely in love.'

Ahead of the ITV Palooza last night (Tuesday 23rd November), Holly uploaded a hilarious photo of herself hoovering her rug around her new pup as she was dressed in a stunning black ball gown.

She simply captioned the snap: '🐾🖤'.

Holly's celebrity friends were quick to comment on the photo. Rochelle Humes wrote: ' AMAZING', with a fan then writing: ' ❤️❤️❤️so beautiful 😍 a wonderful soul xx 💋'. (sic)

BRB, just setting up a petition to get Bailey a permanent slot on This Morning! 😍
