What do ALL of these celebrities have in common? Actor Daniel Radcliffe and pop stars Adele, Ed Sheeran, One Direction's Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Harry Styles and former member Zayn Malik. Well, it turns out that they have all made it into heat's Rich List 2018.
For today’s generation of stars it's all about their personal brands. That’s why Kylie Jenner has become a near-billionaire using Instagram to sell her makeup. And why Rita Ora earns more promoting firms such as Adidas than she does from music. Or why Taylor Swift’s pet cats, Meredith and Olivia, have their own merchandise lines, with their whiskery faces selling everything from earrings and T-shirts.
Now, heat magazine looked at the accounts of every major British and Irish celeb who’s 30 years and under, compiling a list of the richest millennial millionaire stars. From the singer who splashed £1k on a pair of Gucci socks to the pop icon who’s SO rich but doesn’t even pay for his own PERi-PERi chicken thanks to his Nando’s Black Card.

30. Spencer Matthews, 29, £4.5m
Eton-educated Spencer was minted long before MiC, thanks to a £100k-a-year trader's job and his hotelier dad being worth £40m. But Spencer's fortune is entirely self-made, thanks to reality shows (The Jump, Five Star Hotel), best-selling memoir (£80k) and mag deals (a rumoured £90k for recent wedding to model Vogue Williams).
29. Daisy Ridley, 26, £4.6m
Before Star Wars: The Force Awakens rocketed her to fame, Daisy was earning pennies pulling pints in a pub. Her role in Murder on the Orient Express has since topped up her bank balance nicely. Accounts show she earned £2.7m last year – enough to cover her £30k-a-year gym fees.
28. John Boyega, 26, £4.6m
Three years ago, his £300k Star Wars: The Force Awakens salary was dwarfed by Harrison Ford's rumoured £23m fee. Now John's a genuine Hollywood star, his wallet fattened by roles in Pacific Rim Uprising and Detroit. Then there's his production company, UpperRoom Entertainment, worth £2m.
HOW HE SPENDS IT:
Unselfishly. With his Star Wars dough, John relocated his parents to a new home, plus bought a Jaguar for Dad. But there's one thing he can't buy: "Money-wise I'm OK, career-wise I'm OK… but love-wise I'm broke… I'd have £320. No, £320.99." Bless.
27. Rylan Clark-Neal, 30, £4.8m
A best-selling memoir, reality TV (a reported £250k Celeb BB fee) plus presenting everything from This Morning to co-commentating Eurovision has seen the national treasure sit atop a tidal wave of money.
He has a £1m Essex 'palais' to show for it (decorated with glitter wallpaper, of course), along with those famous blinding-white veneers (£25k).
26. Sam Faiers, 27, £5.2m
She was once paid £50 a day for gabbling away about spray tans on TOWIE. But Sam soon started coining it in: picking up £350k a series of The Mummy Diaries and £750k for penning her Secrets and Lies memoir, plus income from fashion brand All Bits London and La Bella perfume (which outsold Britney's Fantasy fragrance).
HOW SHE SPENDS IT:
Savvy Sam has invested in property, owning buy-to-let properties in Essex and London, along with her £2.9m Hertfordshire home. Other spends include £22.5k-a-night Dubai hotel suites and a £1,450 two-storey playhouse for her kids.
25. The 1975, £5.3m
With their last album topping charts across the globe, the Manc band aren't short of a tenner. Singer Matt Healy (Denise Welch's son) has spent some of that moolah on Barbados rehab (for his four-year heroin addiction), along with Saint Laurent designer clobber and wooing celebs rumoured to include Caroline Flack and Taylor Swift.
24. Joey Essex, 28, £6m
Since leaving TOWIE in 2013, Joey has netted £500k for his D'Reem hair products and £250k for The Jump while he's estimated to collect £50k for public appearances. It's all enough to buy him a £1.6m Essex gaff (with pool and tennis court) and a £250k Lamborghini. Not bad for somebody who once thought squares have "six sides".
23. Sophie Turner, 22, £6m
Having played Games of Thrones' Sansa Stark since she was 15, Sophie is also rumoured to have banked £2m for X-Men: Apocalypse. Sophie and fiancé Joe Jonas are extravagant spenders with a flashy NYC apartment and a busy holiday schedule (everything from $45k/£34k-a-night Maldives resort stays to Paris shopping trips).
22. Lily Cole, 30, £7m
By sashaying down the world's catwalks in her former life as a supermodel, red-haired Lily hit the jackpot. She's now an activist and entrepreneur who runs skills-sharing business Impossible (like a "Tinder for favours" she says), as well as launching products such as eco-friendly condoms to help the Amazon rainforest.
21. Dev Patel, 28, £7.2m
Dev was still a schoolboy when he was cast in Slumdog Millionaire 10 years ago. An Oscar nomination (Lion), plus starring in flicks such as Hotel Mumbai, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and next year's The Personal History Of David Copperfield help fund his new fabulous Hollywood lifestyle.
20. Nicholas Hoult, 28, £8m
In 2002's About A Boy, he was an 11-year-old with an awful pudding bowl haircut. Now, Nicholas is a Hollywood regular, starring in the X-Men series, Mad Max: Fury Road and current The Favourite. He likes attending Grand Prix races, but is probably now shelling out on nappies, having recently had a baby with lingerie model Bryana Holly.
19. Jack Whitehall, 30, £8.5m
He might come from a well-to-do showbiz background, but posho Jack is a real grafter. Having earned millions through his standup career, he's now hit the big time: hosting the Brit Awards and starring as the first major gay Disney character in next year's Jungle Cruise. Official accounts show he made £2.3m last year. Tally-ho, old chap!
18. The xx, £9m
Chart-topping albums, bassist's Oliver Sim's modelling sideline and sell-out world tours (Beyoncé and Madonna have been seen at their concerts) means the shy indie trio from London aren't short of a bob or two. They plough their earnings into hosting their own festivals (Night + Day) and wardrobes that seem to entirely consist of black clothes.
17. Jessie J, 30, £11.2m
She hasn't had a top 10 single since 2014, while this year's album ROSE failed to chart. But Jessie is stratospherically famous in one place: The Far East. In April, she won Chinese TV talent show Singer 2018, which attracts audiences of 200m, with some experts predicting her comeback in the region could net Jessie a staggering £20m.
16. Rita Ora, 27, £12m
Having only released just one album in her career (second record Phoenix arrives in November), Rita's wealth doesn't come from singing. Instead, she's made millions exploiting Brand Rita via acting (Fifty Shades of Grey), TV (The Voice, The X Factor) plus promoting Adidas (an estimated £1.5m), Coca-Cola (a rumoured £1m) and Rimmel – all of whom must be aware of her 13.9m Instagram following.
HOW SHE SPENDS IT:
Owns £1.3m, six-bed north London pad, where she installed a £20k panic room after a terrifying burglary. Rita's also invested in property, but she's not immune to a £43k diamond manicure either.
15. Winston Marshall, 30, £16m
He might be the son of a hedge fund millionaire worth £315m, but Winston's fortune comes from playing banjo in waistcoat-wearing folksters Mumford & Sons, who've shifted millions of albums. He currently lives in a $3.2m/£2.4m New York loft with wife, Glee actress Dianna Agron, and lots of banjos (probably).
14. Cara Delevingne, 26, £18m
"Don't worry, be happy" says Cara's Instagram profile. Easy to do when you've amassed £14m before your 24th birthday through modelling, and Chanel pay you to take selfies of yourself wearing their brand, so you can send them to your 41m followers.
The beetle-browed one has focused on acting in recent years, living in Hollywood with model sister Poppy.
13. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, 28, £19m
Starring in big budget blockbusters such as Godzilla, Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron has seen the pounds pour in for Aaron. His latest film is A Million Little Pieces directed by his artist/filmmaker wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, who's worth £15m. We have no idea whether she'll be paying him a bonus for this or not.
12. Sam Smith, 26, £26m
Sam's first album sold 12m copies, his second one topped charts in the UK and US, while his world tour is expected to take £50m at the box office. The singer has splurged on homes in London and Los Angeles, and a love of stinky dairy products. "I honestly spent all my money on cheese," he says.
11. Rupert Grint, 30, £33m
Playing Harry Potter's comedy sidekick in the $7.7bn/£5.9bn-grossing franchise has seen Rupert become filthy-rich. With his acting career making a comeback (Sky One sitcom Sick Note with Lindsay Lohan), he made £1m last year. Once bought a menagerie of animals including miniature pigs and llamas. Just like Michael Jackson.
10. Zayn Malik, 25, £37m
An anxiety disorder that prevents him from touring means Zayn earns less than his ex-1D bandmates (he's also estimated to have lost £5m for quitting the boyband early). Still, solo material and fashion work for Versace has seen him buy a £7.2m New York pad plus a Pennsylvania farm where he grows tomatoes and owns a horse named 'Cool'.
9. Liam Payne, 25, £43m
Official accounts show Liam's company made just £6k in profits last year (we're still waiting on an album and tour). Since splitting with baby mama Cheryl, he's also reportedly called in divorce lawyers to protect his 1D nest-egg. However, the £46k a month he gets from renting out his haunted £9.8m California mansion must now be boosting his income a bit.
8. Louis Tomlinson, 26, £44m
Believed to have scooped £4m from Simon Cowell for his X Factor judging duties, Louis is money-mindful, making sure he's got some plush roofs over his head (a £5.7m Hollywood home, a £2.25m London pad). He's generous too: donating $10,000/£7,600 to pay for medical care for a young fan with cerebral palsy.
7. Niall Horan, 25, £46m
Since cutting ties with Simon Cowell, Niall has signed a £4m record deal, had a US #1 album, while he's predicted to make €10m (£8.8m) from his 81-date world tour. Owns a glass-fronted London apartment which comes with its own penthouse cocktail bar. And why not? He can afford it.
6. Little Mix, £48m
"We've all bought houses, and none of us have slept in them." So says Leigh-Anne. It sums up everything about Little Mix: they're rich but work hard for it. In 2017, Glory Days was one of the year's biggest-selling albums, while their concerts grossed £31m. Then there's the endorsements, ranging from COLAB Dry Shampoo to Little Mix fashion dolls.
5. Emma Watson, 28, £55m
Her upfront £2m fee for Beauty and the Beast (plus a share in profits believed to be £10m) must have topped up Emma's £43m Harry Potter stash nicely. Kind-hearted with her cash (she donated £1m to a fund to help victims of sexual harassment), she saves money by flying easyJet and turned up at 2016's Met Gala wearing a dress made from actual rubbish. Just like Oscar the Grouch.
4. Harry Styles, 24, £58m
Accounts show Hazza is set to pocket £20m for his post-1D work (that'd be his 1m-selling solo album and $59m/£45m-grossing world tour), along with acting in Dunkirk and posing with piglets for a Gucci campaign. Yes, he's sometimes extravagant (£6m NYC home, a fleet of seven supercars) but he's charitable: buying pizza for fans camping overnight at his gigs.
3. Daniel Radcliffe, 29, £87m
Waving his wand while playing speccy schoolboy wizard Harry Potter for 10 years. His wealth means Daniel can pursue the roles he really wants to play (such as a dead man who breaks wind in Swiss Army Man).
HOW HE SPENDS IT:
Daniel's barely touched his fortune, aside from cannily investing in New York's real estate scene and the odd splurge on modern art (he owns one Damien Hirst worth $2m/£1.5m). Such is the actor's desire to live like us mere Muggles, he apparently owns a Fiat Punto too.
2. Ed Sheeran, 27, £94m
Last year we had Ed's wealth pegged at £52m. The scruffbag troubadour's nearly doubled that thanks to big bucks rolling in from third album ÷ (6m copies sold) and ticket sales from his $294m/£225m-grossing two-year world tour. Despite this, he could be missing out on £20m of royalties from Shape of You after payments were frozen due to an ongoing copyright case.
HOW HE SPENDS IT:
Since buying his sprawling Suffolk estate in 2012, Ed has added a treehouse, subterranean cinema and 'hobbit hole' man cave (it's also got a pub with its own underground tunnel too). Clearly not content, he's also snapped up four neighbouring properties to make the country pile even bigger (now so huge, locals dub it 'Sheeranville') and bought a new £20m eight-bedroom London home in April too. Despite all this, Ed still maintains a scruffy skint façade. "You are me are so thrifty, so go all you can eat," the multi-millionaire minstrel sings in Shape of You, backed up by his ownership of a rare Nando's Black Card which promises unlimited spicy chicken for life.
1. Adele, 30, £147.5m
Newsflash: Adele is rich. This is the third year running she's topped our 30-and-under chart, and no wonder. Although she's hardly lifted a finger since finishing her world tour at Wembley Stadium in summer 2017, she still manages to be a cash-magnet – in 2017 alone she pocketed £9m from record sales, while that tour earned her a massive £42m. Next? There's talk of a £22m year-long Vegas residency.
HOW SHE SPENDS IT:
She's currently enjoying the quiet life in California, recently turning down a £1m private gig because she was busy weeding her garden. But there are the occasional splashes – she staged a no-expenses-spared Titanic-themed party for her 30th birthday (no Colin the Caterpillar cake for her) and recently paid for best friend Alan Carr's wedding. Held in the grounds of her LA mansion, she even became ordained as a minister to officiate. Long may she reign.
Earlier this month, Ed Sheeran's accounts were revealed and some number crunchers worked out just how much the 'Shape of You' singer earned in ONE DAY - a huge £75,005, or an astronomical £3,125 an hour! Nice!
