Reality TV star Gemma Collins has opened up about the heartbreaking moment she lost her baby four years ago after giving birth in her house.

Gemma broke down on the new Channel 5 show, In Therapy, where she revealed to therapist Mandy Saligari that she didn't know she was pregnant until she went into labour and suffered a miscarriage at four and a half months.

Recalling the heartbreaking moment, the former TOWIE star said "I rang an ambulance. I ended up giving birth on my landing to this four-and-a-half-month old baby. The next minute they put me in the ambulance and this woman is going to me, 'Do you want to bury your baby? Do you want to sign it over for scientific research?"

The 35-year-old also revealed how she forced herself to go to the National Television Awards back in 2012, immediately after delivering the baby. Admitting she 'had loads of padding on' Gemma said the outside world were unaware of her the distressing trauma she had gone through.

Gemma, who has openly admitted her weight struggles in recent years also admitted she felt 'guilty' about her weight and said "I had this terrible feeling inside me and the more I ate, the more it went away."

Four years on from her traumatic ordeal, Gemma is now focusing on her career and owns a plus size boutique in Essex.

The reality star also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother back in January where she was the seventh housemate to be evicted after her loud and bubbly personality didn’t appeal to everybody.

You can watch Gemma's heartbreaking interview in full when In Therapy airs 5th July on Channel 5.
