Frozen Director Says Sorry To Parents For The Inescapable 'Let It Go'

The director of the highest grossing animated movie of all time, Frozen, has jokingly apologised to parents across the globe for the inescapable song ‘Let It Go’!

Idina Menzel’s track sung by her character, 21-year-old Snow Queen Elsa, is undoubtedly the most memorable song from the film and gets sung endlessly by young fans of the film.

Now, writer and co-director Jennifer Lee has apologised (with her tongue firmly wedged in her cheek) for the countless times parents have heard the track.

“A year ago people would say, ‘Oh we love the songs! We sing them all the time,” Jennifer told The Hollywood Reporter. “Now they’re like, ‘Yep, we’re still listening to those songs.’”

She added: “I’ve gone from saying ‘Thank you’ to ‘Sorry!’”

Clarifying that her comments were a joke, Jennifer took to Twitter to write:

Despite the first movie’s unprecedented success, Disney are yet to confirm whether a follow-up is in the works.
