Fashion icon Pam Hogg is creating a bespoke statue for EACH award

Published 23rd Nov 2015

Fashion designer Pam Hogg has become the latest British icon to create the BRIT Award statue.

Following in the hallowed footsteps of Vivienne Westwood (2011), Sir Peter Blake (2012), Damien Hirst (2013), Philip Treacy (2014), Tracey Emin (2015), unlike the previous designers, Pam has created a unique design for each respective award.

Scottish-born Pam’s work is synonymous with music and her clothes have been worn by artists across the world including Kylie Minogue, Debbie Harry, Jessie J, Lady Gaga, Roisin Murphy and Rihanna.

She said: “An artist’s true reward is that her/his work resonates and connects. Given a chance, the unseen unheard and unsung may also one day touch and unlock a waiting heart.”

BRITs Chairman Max Lousada said: “Having designed for some of the world’s greatest music artists, it’s absolutely fitting that Pam is bringing her unique vision to The BRITs trophy.

The fact that each statue will be a unique, bespoke piece mirrors her status as a truly singular talent and we are delighted to be working with her.”

Hosted by Ant & Dec once again The BRIT Awards takes place at The O2 Arena in London on Wednesday 24th February 2016. The event will be screened live on ITV.
