Facebook has just rolled out one of the biggest changes to the social networking website in its history.

Once you update the Facebook app or visit the website you will be able to see the new options for reacting to your friends' statuses.

By simply holding down on the link button on the app or hovering over the new 'Like' button on the desktop site, you'll be able to choose from six different options.

The final six reactions are, Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry - after some consultation the social networking site decided not to use 'Yay' (in the middle below) as it wasn't understood universally.

While requests for a 'Dislike' button on Facebook have been around for years the company decided not to introduce 'Dislike' as it would convey too much negativity.
