Lisa Riley says she’s ‘flying high on life’ after losing six stone.
The former Emmerdale star showed off her slimmer figure on Instagram in a holiday photo.
It’s believed she’s gone from a size 30 to 16 in just under a year.
She told Bella magazine that she was motivated to lose weight after seeing her parents become ill: "Losing my mum then seeing my dad wired up and nearly losing him and becoming an orphan was a shock to my system.
"I don't want to be a statistic. I just want my health to carry on, to live my life to the fullest."
The 39-year-old played Mandy Dingle in the soap opera for six and a half years but left in 2001 and the star has declined attempts to re-introduce the character to the show.
In 1997 Lisa succeeded Jeremy Beadle in hosting You’ve Been Framed, which she continued with until 2003.
In 2012 Lisa was eliminated in the semi finals of the tenth series of Strictly Come Dancing and her popularity** **led to the launch of her own clothes range 'Just Be You'.
The actress has recently starred in pantomimes and played Tina Allen in Waterloo Road until 2013.
