Enrique Iglesias sliced his fingers when he grabbed a drone at his sold-out concert in Tijuana, Mexico on Saturday night.

The 40-year-old singer was performing his sold-out 12,000 capacity show at the Plaza de Toros de Playa arena when he decided to reach out and catch the aerial device that was being used to capture the concert.

Unfortunately for Enrique, the drone’s sharp blades cut his fingers leaving him a bloody mess in front of the agape crowd.

Enrique was treated by the side of the stage but returned after 10 minutes powered on through the final 30 minutes of the show despite doctors’ orders to pull out.

“During the show a drone is used to get crowd shots and some nights Enrique grabs the drone to give the audience a Point of View shot. Something went wrong and he had an accident,” a statement from Enrique’s reps read.

“He decided to go on and continued playing for 30 minutes while the bleeding continued throughout the show.

“(After the show) he was rushed to the airport where an ambulance met him there. He was then put on a plane to LA to see a specialist. We will continue to update as we have more info. Thank you all for your love and concern.”

After the incident, concertgoers took to social media to share a series of pics of Enrique and his gory injury.

Enrique’s publicist Joe Bonilla shared an image of Enrique with a heart-shaped smearing of blood across his chest.

He wrote: "The show must go on!" says @enrique305 He drew a heart for his fans!
