An emotional Carl Fogarty has paid tribute to his fans after being crowned King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The 49-year-old World Superbike legend dropped to his knees when he found out he had won the ITV show ahead of X Factor singer Jake Quickenden.

Foggy was then formally handed his honour by last year’s winner, former Westlife singer Kian Egan, before being reunited with his wife Michaela.

The moment Foggy won the show

Speaking to Ant and Dec afterwards, Foggy said: "I just think it's all a dream. I think someone's playing a joke on me!"

Now washed and with a full belly, Foggy has posted a video message thanking the many thousands who voted for him.

He said: “A massive, massive thank you to fans in the UK for spending your money and making me king of the jungle.

“It means the world to me, I’m so emotional that I’ve had so much support and can’t thank you all enough and can’t wait to see you all when I get back to the UK.”

Foggy’s first video message TV presenter Melanie Sykes came third on the show, while Tory MP Edwina Currie was voted off on Saturday.

Foggy is the 14th winner of I’m A Celebrity joining such luminaries as Kerry Katona, Dougie Poynter, Joe Swash, Gino D’Campo, Matt Willis, Joe Pasquale and Tony Blackburn.
