Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith have been unveiled as the first live performers at The BRIT Awards.

All three artists have enjoyed the year of their lives and will kick-start 2015 with a bang singing at The O2 Arena ceremony on Wednesday 25th February.

Although the nominations are yet to be revealed for next year’s BRITs, it’s widely expected that Ed, Taylor and Sam will be in mix for the UK and International categories.

For Sam Smith the performance will mark a year since he received the BRITs Critics’ Choice Award. Since then he’s dominated the charts on both sides of the Atlantic with his debut album ‘In The Lonely Hour’ and picked up multiple Grammy nominations.

Already a global superstar, Taylor Swift has achieved even more success with her fifth studio album '1989' which topped the charts in 97 countries including the UK and America.

The unstoppable Ed Sheeran has scored the biggest selling record of the year with ‘X’, he’s the most streamed artist on Spotify and to top it all off he’s set to headline three nights at Wembley Stadium next summer.
