It's no surprise that the highly acclaimed singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran is nominated for another award, however this time he is nominated against himself!
With the release of the Ivor Novello nominations, Ed Sheeran is nominated twice in the same category - PRS for Music Most Performed Work. His songs 'Shape of You' and 'Castle On The Hill' have been nominated along with 'Human' by Rag'n'Bone Man.
The awards also see the likes of British rapper Stormzy nominated in two categories, for Best Contemporary Song and Album Award.
In January 2017 Ed Sheeran returned to the music scene after a year away with double lead singles 'Shape of You' and 'Castle On The Hill'. At the time the singer tweeted, ‘Cause I’ve been away for a bit here’s two single rather than one’. The tweet was accompanied by a short video teasing both songs.
When the songs were released 'Castle On The Hill' was kept off the top spot by his other song 'Shape Of You', which reached number 1 around the world.
After releasing her amazing track 'Bad Liar', Selena Gomez worked with music producer Marshmello on the hit 'Wolves'.
Little Mix and CNCO: 'Reggaeton Lento'
