Popular EastEnders actress Lacey Turner and her long term boyfriend Matt Kaye have announced their engagement.
The actress, who is best known for her portrayal of Stacey Branning in the soap, showed off her sparkling ring in the sweet photo.
Her fiancé Matt shared the lovely moment to his Instagram account by uploading a snap of Lacey crying with excitement. He captioned the shot with 'She said yes ooooosssshhhhhhhh #fiance@laceyturner'.
Fans were quick to congratulate the pair on their happy news. One user wrote ‘Yay!!!!! Best news I've heard! It's about bloody time! Love u both’ with another adding ‘Congratulations to you and @laceyturner hope you will be happy together forever’.
Lacey and hairdresser Matt have known each other since they were 15-year-old and have reportedly remained in each other’s lives ever since. After splitting up on numerous occasions, the couple rekindled their love and are now stronger than ever.
Lacey gushed about her now fiancé a few years ago, saying at the time “He's practically perfect. I'm really happy. We are very similar, we both like staying in and watching TV and films.”
The happy news comes just a few weeks after Lacey was crowned the Best Actress at the Inside Soap Awards. Lacey picked up the award after being recognised for her exceptional portrayal of Stacey’s postpartum psychosis in EastEnders.
