Donald Trump may be on course to become America’s next president but way back in 2012 he was completely obsessed with one of the biggest news stories at the time. Surprisingly it wasn’t the presidential battle between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama, it was in fact the cheating scandal between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.
A series of tweets reveal that the controversial politician was giving Robert Pattinson (R-Patz) his full backing amid claims that Kristen Stewart had cheated on him with married Rupert Sanders who was directing her in Snow White and The Huntsman.
The Republican candidate seemed to be totally obsessed as details about their romance unfolded, tweeting throughout the month that he was R-Patz's side. He even said the Twilight actor, ‘can do so much better’ before trying to convince him he should dump Kristen for her bad behaviour.
WOW! We had no idea he was such a fan.
It seems Trump’s messages may have got through to Robert as he ended his relationship with Kristen not long after.
The pair split up in 2012 following Kristen’s affair, despite being together for four years.
Of course things have moved on from the year 2012.
Now, Kristen is reportedly been dating Alicia Cargile whilst Robert is with girlfriend FKA Twigs.
By the end of the year Trump could be the new President of the United States, but we hope he can still find the time to express his opinions on the world of celebrities!
