It was revealed last month that she has Alzheimer's
Comedian David Walliams has posted a super cute photo of himself with the actress he calls the 'woman of his dreams', Dame Barbara Windsor. David took to his socials to share the photo of the pair, showing him hugging the iconic actress, known for her roles in the Carry On films and EastEnders.
David captioned the photo, 'Afternoon tea with the woman of my dreams ever since I was a boy, the unbreakable Dame Barbara Windsor.'
After posting the photo many fans left messages for the pair saying, 'Absolutely beautiful 😘', 'Amazing photo 😍😍' and '💖💖💖💖💖💖'.
On Twitter, EastEnders actress Shona McGarty also tweeted a message saying, 'What a lovely picture. Love her 🙏🏻💋'
Other fans said it was a 'gorgeous' photo.
This lovely photo comes just a month after it was revealed Dame Barbara has been living with Alzheimer's disease since April 2014. Her husband Scott confirmed the news saying her symptoms have worsened since her 80th birthday in August last year. He revealed how a 'definite continual confusion' has set in, making Barbara's symptoms a lot harder to hide.
Dame Barbara married her husband back in 2000 and he revealed recently he wanted to make Barbara's illness public to help other families dealing with the same situation. The 55-year-old also confirmed that his wife gave him her blessing to tell her adoring fans about her diagnosis.
Scott revealed her symptoms first started in 2009, with the actress struggling to learn her lines for EastEnders, however the couple thought nothing of it until early 2012 when she started repeating sentences. After a number of tests and scans, Barbara was then diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2014.
Barbara first started her acting career when she was just 13-years-old, playing a part in The Belles of St Trinian's in 1954.
She later went on to star in a number of famous Carry On films, taking on the role Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders in 1994 which she had until she left in 2009.
Meanwhile, David has just finished the 12th series of Britain's Got Talent which saw comedian Lost Voice Guy crowned this year's winner, with another comedian Robert White ending in second place, and singer Donchez Dacres in third.
Lost Voice Guy is a 37-year-old comedian who lives in Newcastle and has cerebral palsy after he fell ill as a baby which left him unable to speak.
Using a ‘text-to-speech’ app on his iPad, Lost Voice Guy's routine often centres around his disability. He first attracted the attention of the judges in the audition rounds and after appearing on the show, a video of his performance soon received millions of views on YouTube.
