Friends star David Schwimmer has responded in a hilarious way to Blackpool Police's appeal for a Ross lookalike. This follows the popularity of the police force's social media appeal for the man who looks INCREDIBLY like the popular actor, who was caught on camera stealing beer recently.
Blackpool Police
Taking to social media, David took the opportunity to recreate the CCTV footage, jokingly saying, 'Officers, I swear it wasn't me. As you can see, I was in New York.'
He then wished Blackpool Police 'good luck' in tracking down the man saying, 'To the hardworking Blackpool Police, good luck with the investigation'.
David's response has spawned some hilarious responses from Friends fans, such as this mock up of a scene - 'The One Where Ross Brings All The Beer'.
The One Where Ross Brings All The Beer
Other fans has responded with quotes from the show such as 'Pivot' and 'It's Russ trying to frame Ross'.
Joining in with the lookalike fun, Scottish Police also commented on the original post saying, 'keep away' because, 'He is known to have studied Karate and we believe he has mastered the art of Unagi, the state of total awareness'.
David Schwimmer starred as Ross Geller, one of the main characters in the popular TV show Friends from 1994 to 2004.
