David Beckham gets ‘99’ tattoo on his little finger
He remembers his very special year
David Beckham has had one of his favourite years tattooed onto his hand – 1999!
Proudly showing off the ‘99’ ink on his little finger, Becks told his 9million Instagram followers: “99 was a good year for me…”
And it definitely was! The year before the millennium saw David marry Victoria at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland two years after they started dating.
Four months before their big day, the couple’s son Brooklyn Joseph was born and following their nuptials they also moved into their sprawling Hertfordshire mansion dubbed Beckingham Palace.
It was also David’s most memorable year on the field too, with Manchester United winning the historic treble – the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champion’s League.
David has over 30 tattoos across his body including the names of his sons Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn, daughter Harper and the name of his wife Victoria.
He said of his tattoos: “Mine are all about the people in my life, my wife and sons, who I want with me always.
“When you see me, you see the tattoos. You see an expression of how I feel about Victoria and the boys. They're part of me."
