Danny Dyer breaks silence on daughter Dani's pregnancy

He's going to be a grandad at the age of 43

Following Love Island star Dani Dyer's pregnancy announcement at the end of July, her dad, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, has finally broken his silence about his daughter's lovely news.

Speaking on their brand new podcast titled 'Sorted', Danny told listeners, “I know what my Dani was up to in lockdown."

He then asked 24-year-old Dani, "Was that your whole motivation for getting pregnant? You’ve been not really having sex because you’ve thought, ‘I’ll wait til my dad’s 40’?”

Clearly shocked at her dad's comments, the Love Island winner exclaimed, "I’m not talking about my sex life!”

But despite the joke, it sounds like Danny, who plays the role of Mick Carter on EastEnders, is over the moon for his daughter, admitting he also made his parents grandparents at the age of 40.

The Wall host added, “It makes me feel slightly better about my hair thinning and stuff and getting grey in my beard, because if anyone’s got any problem with it I can go, ‘Well, I’m a f***ing grandad’.”

That's one way to look at it! 🤣

Dani first announced she was expecting her first child with her boyfriend Sammy Kimmence back in July, sharing a super cute photo of herself holding up her baby scan.

Announcing her little one will arrive in 2021, Dani wrote, 'Little bubba can’t believe you are going to be ours. Me and Sammy are so excited to start this next chapter in our lives, feel so lucky and grateful.. 2021💖💙'. (sic)
