Strictly's Craig Revel Horwood announces engagement
The proposal didn't quite go to plan!
Strictly Come Dancing legend Craig Revel Horwood has announced the lovely news that he's engaged, after his partner Jonathan Myring popped the question last month.
Craig, who has been in a relationship with Jonathan since the pair met on the Strictly tour in 2018, revealed his exciting news during an interview with OK! Magazine, revealing the proposal took place whilst they enjoyed a holiday in Tasmania.
Speaking to the publication, Craig revealed how he almost 'ruined' Jonathan's big plans, saying, "Jonathan popped the question at the end of March on holiday in Tasmania and it was a total surprise – although I did almost ruin it all."
Revealing the plan he had in mind, Jonathan said, "I had this whole day planned. We were going to have a picnic by the river and look for platypus. I was going to wait for one to come along and then propose. But, on the day, Craig said he didn’t want to do it as platypus are very elusive, so it would be a waste of time."
As if this wasn't enough to ruin the plans, Jonathan's back-up plan was to propose under a waterfall in a National Park, but Craig didn't want to climb either!

Don't worry though, Jonathan was able to improvise actually ended up popping the question in a salt bath, accompanied by a bottle of champagne!
Jonathan told the publication, "By this point, I was getting really nervous and just wanted it done. In the end, I drew a salt bath, opened a bottle of champagne and we got in the bath together and I did it in there."
Clearly a fan of the proposal in the end, Craig said, "It was very romantic. A naked proposal, on his knees in the bath. It was hilarious!"
