It's thought the snake had been living the wall cavity

If you don't like snakes, look away right now! Coronation Street actor Harry Visinoni was forced to call in help from the RSPCA after finding a 4ft Royal Python chilling out on his toilet seat!

Harry, who plays the role of Seb Franklin in the popular soap, entered his bathroom to brush his teeth on Saturday evening, only to find the snake casually sitting around the basin of his toilet.

Speaking about the shock moment, Harry said, "I was just brushing my teeth and saw what looked like a snake head pop from behind the wall at the back of the toilet.

"I didn't take it in at first and then looked again and realised what I had actually seen so I left the bathroom quickly and closed the door."

After Harry and his girlfriend Ellie left the room, the pair were later riddled with fear when the snake had disappeared from the room.

Following a 'sleepless night', Harry decided to call the RSPCA on Sunday morning, with animal rescue officer Sonia Hulme managing to locate the snake behind the radiator in Harry's bathroom.

According to the RSPCA, it's understood the Royal Python belonged to the previous home owner who sadly passed away in 2020.

Speaking about the rescue process, Sonia said, "She was quite feisty and really didn't want to come away from the radiator - so I managed to unscrew the top part and as it dropped forward Harry caught the radiator and I managed to hold the tail of the snake using a pillowcase covering my hands which I safely managed to get her into.

Sonia added, "We suspect she escaped months ago and probably lived in the wall cavity - but thankfully snakes can often survive with long gaps between meals."

Luckily for Lula, she was recused without any injury and is now feeding very well in the care of a speciality reptile keeper at the RSPCA.

Meanwhile, you can catch Harry playing the role of Seb Franklin on Coronation Street.
