The new Stars Wars: The Force Awakens trailer sent the Internet into meltdown when it made its surprise premiere last night.
Containing MUCH more than last year’s tantalising teaser, the two-minute trailer features shots of the film's villain Kylo Ren, apparent stormtrooper Finn played by John Boyega, fight scenes, new characters and The Millennium Falcon.
However, it’s the final clip of the returning Hans Solo and Chewbacca that got fans of the sci-fi franchise salivating.
72-year-old Harrison Ford’s perfect line “Chewy, we’re home” prompted widespread goosebumps around the globe and trended on Twitter.
Less than 12 hours after being uploaded to YouTube the trailer has already been seen over 20million times
Directed by JJ Abrahams and also starring Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher as Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia from the original trilogy, Stars Wars: The Force Awakens hits UK cinemas on 18th December 2015.
