The singer is worried

She may be dating a One Direction star but Cheryl Fernandez-Versini thinks she's cursed when it comes to men.

The former X Factor judge has had her fair share of heartbreak in the past so it’s no surprise she has hesitations about new relationships.

The beauty has now reportedly told pals she feels ‘cursed’ with men.

Her first marriage with footballer Ashley Cole ended in bits when it emerged the England player had cheated on the Geordie girl numerous times, leading to the pair divorcing in 2010.

After that, Cheryl met and then married French Businessmen, Jean Bernard, in 2014 and it seemed the former Girls Aloud star had finally found happiness.

However, after a breakdown in their relationship, the pair announced their split late last year and are currently going through a divorce.

Despite her past relationships, the 32-year-old seems incredibly loved up with 22-year-old Liam Payne. However, despite the blossoming romance it has now emerged the singer is ‘worried’ about her new relationship due to the heavy divorce drama she finds herself caught up in.

A source close to Cheryl told Closer magazine “Liam’s been Cheryl’s rock through the split, but now his name’s being dragged through the mud and he’s been dubbed the ‘other man’. She’s concerned the drama could get too much he’ll walk away.”

Cheryl has remained silent over why she split with former husband Jean Bernard but after the Frenchman seemingly had a dig at her on Instagram last week, she felt the need to defend herself on Twitter.

In a long winded Instagram post, JB wrote 'Since months, papers, sources, lawyers, PR, management team have been trying to intimidating me. I have heard so many lies about me, my family (that can't answer anymore) and my situation. sic'

He then went on to say 'I never seen anyone standing up and defend me by telling the truth. I guess because it wasn't in their interest. And now suddenly when the truth come out from NOWHERE because the truth always come out, certain people that love to say that they don’t comment on their private life can’t help themselves but to justify themselves which for me seems even more strange. sic

A few hours later Cheryl fired back with an angry response on Twitter reading “'If anybody believes the s*** they’re reading today you really don’t know me at all’.

Since then the pair have both remained tight lipped about the situation as they go through with their divorce proceedings.

It seems Cheryl would like to wipe all trace of her past marriage away as it was announced she has dropped her surname and would now only like to be known by ‘Cheryl’.

The star is set to be honoured for her charity work next month and The Global Gift Gala in Paris and Cheryl booked herself into the event with only her first name.

Despite Cheryl’s worries, Liam seems totally smitten with the ‘Call My Name’ singer so we don’t believe she has anything to worry about.
