Adam and Martin had to put live critters in their mouth

It was potentially one of the hardest trials to watch as a viewer and now I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here bosses are facing backlash for the latest 'disgusting' trial.

The trial in question involved nominated camp mates Adam Thomas and marmite celeb Martin Roberts hold live insects in their mouths for 30 seconds in order to gain meals for the camp.

Animals in the trial included live cockroaches, yabbies and spiders and whilst some found it entertaining to watch, many admitted they believed it to be 'cruel' to the animals.

Others admitted they felt 'physically sick' at the trial but enjoyed watching Martin and in particular Adam face their fears.

Meanwhile the final week of the show is about to kick off with two camp mates having already faced elimination.

Over the weekend both Danny Baker and Lisa Snowden lost their place in the camp when they received the lowest save votes from the public.

EastEnders actor Larry Lamb and Countdown star Carol Vorderman are the latest favourites to leave the show tonight (Monday 28th November).

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here continues every night from 9pm.
