Brandon Flowers, lead singer of The Killers started a solo career five years ago and has just released his second solo album, 'The Desired Effect'.

During the production of this album Brandon worked with a number of musicians, In:Demand's Lydia Batham asked him if anything came of the tweet he wrote to Lorde in March.

The singer whose previous four albums have hit the top spot in the UK told Lydia that he doesn't feel any pressure for his past albums, "I'm just thankful for it" he said.

He also told us what it's like writing by himself, without the other members of The Killers and how The Killers struggled to get signed to a label when they started out 14 years ago.
