They might be rich, busy and way too popular to read our tweets, but sometimes celebrities catch us by surprise and do the kindest things for their fans.

Here are some of the heartwarming moments that changed some fans lives.

Adele

The singer has pushed out all the stops recently, she visited the bedside of a sick young fan before her show in Belfast and then showed her kind heart once again in Manchester. After spotting a 14-year-old girls sign in the crowd, Adele welcomed her onstage to sing 'Somebody Like You'.

Johnny Depp

The actor is known for turning up to children's hospitals around the world, to surprise them all dressed as Jack Sparrow.

Harry Styles

The singer took time out from his busy schedule to send a fan a video message telling her he loves her and she's brave - after she was diagnosed with cancer.

Ed Sheeran

The singer helped his childhood friend, who was struggling financially, by paying off her mortgage after she helped him write 'Thinking Out Loud'.

Taylor Swift

A young fan was gutted to miss Taylor's concert after she was diagnosed with leukiema. The 'Shake it Off' star sent her a video message and paid $50,000 towards her medical bills.

Tom Cruise

After witnessing a hit-and-run the Mission Impossible actor stayed with victim to the hospital and paid her $7000 bill when he learned she was uninsured.

Miley Cyrus

The singer came in like a Wrecking Ball at the VMAs when she raised awareness for the approximately 1.6 million runaways and homeless young people living in the United States. She let homeless youth Jesse accept the award for her.

Drake & The Game

The rappers donated $20,000 to help a woman in Ohio cover funeral costs after her boyfriend and five young children were killed in a house fire while she was at work.

Christian Bale

The Batman actor took a 4-year-old cancer patient and his family on a trip to Disneyland in 2012. In the same year he also visited the survivors of the Colorado theatre shooting, which had been showing the Dark Knight Rises.

J.K Rowling

The author wrote the ending of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire early so a fan, who was diagnosed with leukaemia, could read it. She also named a character after her, who was sorted into Gryffindor known for its bravery.
