Check out what Paulo Ross is up to this Christmas!

1.Where are you spending Christmas day this year?

I’ve always wanted to spend Christmas in Australia, so I’m flying to Sydney on Christmas Eve! A lot of my friends have emigrated to Oz, I haven’t seen them in years. It’ll be great to catch up with them again and experience having turkey on the beach. Pete & Rebecca are VERY jealous.

2. What’s the best present you’ve ever received for Christmas?

In 2002 I asked Santa for a remote controlled RAD robot and he brought me one! I’ve had it for 13 years, it still works. Haven’t given him a name yet.

  1. And the worst…

Socks and pyjamas. Why do parents feel the need to buy you them every year? They never fit. They’re always the biggest disappointment on Christmas morning.

4. What's your favourite Christmas movie?

I’m a 90’s child, so I’m going to go with Home Alone. Loved the movies growing up as a kid. I still to this day watch it back every Christmas Eve. I used to be terrified of the pigeon lady whenever I was a kid.

5. Favourite Christmas song?

So cliché, but it has to be The Pogues – Fairytale Of New York, love it.

6. What is your favourite part of Christmas day?

Christmas dinner! Isn’t it everybody’s? It wouldn’t be December 25th without a big feed, feeling busted and going for an afternoon nap on the sofa. Also love whenever the family come around in the evening, it’s the highlight of the year. Going to miss that the most this year.

7. Do you have a favourite Christmas drink, food or recipe?

My mother’s Christmas dinners are AMAZING, we’re so lucky to have her. She always makes a homemade pavlova for desert every year. I can never eat it after Christmas dinner – too full. Always end up waiting until after the post-dinner nap before tucking into it.
