Newtownabbey Racers Special Olympics team
Cash for Kids are supporting the Newtownabbey Racers Special Olympics team with new equipment.
Newtownabbey Racers Special Olympics team provide athletics and multi-sports training to over 30 children and young adults aged between 6 – 18 years old. The children who attend have disabilities ranging from downs syndrome to autism, ADHD and many others.
The Cash for Kids grant will provide new equipment for the team to train with including Turbo Javelin and Shot. This will benefit the children both physically and behaviourally as they learn new skills. It also gives them opportunities to take part in new competitions and fun social evenings which will improve their social skills and help them make new friends.
