Royal Mail release Only Fools and Horses stamps to mark show's 40th anniversary

Only Fools and Horses has been a massively popular show since it's humour gripped the UK nation back in the 80s. Fans of the hit show are delighted that the Royal Mail have released a limited edition stamp collection for the series' 40th anniversary.
The series launched in 1981 and was highly popular from it's release until now. Even today, it is gaining new fans who indulge in the nostalgia and comedy of the feel-good show. We can all do with some feel-good news at the minute and these stamps will brighten up any letter or postcard. Who doesn't love a comedic one-liner?

Fans are very excited for the stamps to be released on the 16th February 2021. There are 12 stamps in total and a collection of merchandise, which will be available via the Royal Mail website. Fans have taken to social media to express their excitement.
One fan couldn't wait to bag some stamps, writing, 'Might have to invest!! This time next year I’ll be a millionaire 😂!'.
Another fan said 'Fantastic that the greatest comedy ever will be recognised by Royal Mail'.
The main Trotter characters are brothers Del Boy and Rodney. They appealed to the masses with their silly humour and carefree attitude. Due to the lack of working class representation, they burst onto screens and into viewer's hearts and have remained ever since. The stamps feature iconic scenes or catchy one-liners from the shows rich history.
Del Boy's fashion inspired a generation of flat-capped, fur coat wearing men and the catchphrases stuck to! From 'you plonker' to 'lovely jubbly', these iconic catchphrases have weaved theirselves into popular culture and everyday phrases. The true hallmark of a great series is one that stays imprinted in our minds and into our daily life. 40 years on, Only Fools and Horses has done exactly that!
There are 12 stamps as part of the special collection, each one featuring an iconic catchphrase from the much loved TV show. You can get the stamps for only £5.40 a sheet. For the more avid collectors amongst us, you can bag a 'Only Fools and Horses Del Boy Gold Stamp' for £49.99 or a 'Only Fools and Horses Limited Edition Prestige Stamp Book' for £59.99.
