First class plane tickets, a dog and an ice cream van among items left in hotels
Here are the weirdest things people left behind in Travelodge hotels in 2020
We’ve all accidentally left something behind in a hotel, whether it be a toothbrush or your child’s favourite teddy.
Designed for short stays, people often end up leaving Travelodge hotels in a rush, but imagine arriving at the airport to find you don’t have your first-class tickets to the Maldives!
According to the Travelodge’s list of most interesting items left behind in 2020, that’s exactly what happened to one unfortunate customer.
Important documents, expensive jewellery and even pets!
Leaving behind important documents seemed somewhat of a theme, with a degree from Oxford University and a 60-year old marriage certificate also featuring.
Meanwhile, other customers forgot some very valuable items, including keys to a brand-new Bentley, a Cartier engagement ring and a Swarovski wedding crown.
Staff also found things of sentimental value, such as an old diary, a 50 year old football sticker book belonging to a devoted Liverpool FC fan and a wedding proposal in a bottle.
Some Travelodge branches discovered stethoscopes, crocs and scrubs forgotten by key workers rushing off to work.
However, perhaps worst of all was a Siberian Husky dog called Saskia who was left at the Cambridge Central branch!
